Stayed near Memphis Branch Office, met up with Tim settles, breakfast with Bo Loeffel on Monday Morning
Went to golf shop and tested Drivers / Dick's broken simulator / Edwin Watts, Taylormade M2 best. Picked up Tim, meeting at branch office, dinner at awful Italian restaurant.
Morning drive to Nashville, lunch with Nashville Branch office, drive to Knoxville, dinner with Knoxville branch
Morning meeting with branch, lunch with Bob Ackerman, drop Timat airport.
Drive from Knoxville, thru Asheville, stop at Hickory, veer off of I40 through NC countryside, tidyness of past era, neet farms and little towns, pride in property.
Arrive in Pinehurst, video footage coming into area, pine trees, different than I had ever seen, a mix of equestrian interests and golf. Thinking of Dodson books and places. Through town to Mid Pines Lodge.
Check in at Mid Pines, nostalgic character, friendly check in expecting me, room experience, furniture, view out back toward course in fading light, unpacking, lounge for dinner, club sandwicjh, chris bartender, offer to golf next day, reccomendations for Villager Deli breakfst bluebeey pancakes, the duece lunch, sleep.
Southern pines, tourney day, Pine Needles, walking course, mainrenance equpment. Room shower, Pinehurst resort, lunch at deuce, payne stewart
Village shops, Holy Inn, Pine Crest Inn, Dugans Pub, charlie bartender, Nap at room - 4 PM Mid poines round, tougher, hot and sticky, cart ride, finished up, laundry in Aberdeen, dinner at Sqiure Pub - fish and chips, hit driver at dicks no go.
Thursday Morning, breakfast in dining room, Aberdeen Roberts golf shop, club purchase - Driver , 1 Iron and 28 deg hybrid. Driving Range test, hotel, watch start of womens tournament leaders tee off, az and minnesota - -7 each. Beer at the Pine needles lounge, memoribilia
Mid day - Lunch at Bell Tree, southern pines tee off at 12:30, cart great course, no one els out there, finished up. Shower, bar at Mid pines, kimberly bar tender, dinner at Southern Pines with Natalie and Mark. change rooms at hotel. Sleep
Up and drive to Wake forest, gas up?, meet Bob for breakfast, Golf at Brevofield, back nine nice holes, good talk with Bob, his house visit, little dog, Paschal golf course, Alan Oshaunasey history of arnie, Downtown Wake, hot dog shop - Shortys. Dinner w Bob and Bobbi, hotel at airport.
Morning flight home reunite with Sonya.
